Online advertisements for alleged financial investments in renewable energies should be treated with caution. With allegedly lucrative and risk-free investment opportunities, unsuspecting victims are being lured into the fraud trap.
Currently, there are more and more cases of fraudulent offers on social media in which cyber criminals refer to ENERCON. For example, fake advertisements with photos of ENERCON wind turbines and ENERCON CEO Dr. Jürgen Zeschky are circulating on Facebook.
ENERCON distances itself from these scam attempts. We have called in our legal department to take action against it. We appeal to customers, business partners and interested parties not to respond to such offers. Suspicious content should be deleted immediately as a precaution.

ENERCON achieved the technological breakthrough in the 1990s with the legendary E-40/500 kW. The gearless drive concept introduced for the first time with this wind turbine type still characterises ENERCON wind energy converters to this day. It also forms the basis for the new top-of-the-range model E-175 EP5 that ENERCON is currently rolling out in series production.
Following the successful fulfilment of the 750 MW turbine delivery agreements in the first phase, the companies have taken another step towards completing the 1,000 MW project by signing a delivery agreement for the remaining 250 MW capacity.
As of 2026, top model will be available with 7.0 MW and tower of 175 metres
